MOH HONG BUDDHIST SHRINE

於公元2010 年5月11日-庚寅年三月廿八日（星期二）晚间八时本堂巫峰佛堂师父召开经堂部紧急会议。

会议上师父列出经堂指导师张璧禧触犯以下所列之纪律条规：

（一）    没经本堂许可，滥用职权向本堂之堂员或其直系家属之丧事擅自提供入棺及出殡之诵经服务并私下索取数百元之酬款。
（二）    欺上瞒下，误导本堂会员以为此项诵经服务乃经过本堂签定， 因此蓄意败坏本佛堂名誉。
（三）    目无尊长，藐视堂规，阳奉阴违，刻意违背本堂师父之训令。

会议结果由师父裁决，众经生无异议之下由即日起开除张璧禧（NRIC： S1331409H）之堂籍及撤除其经堂指导师之职并不准其日后再来本佛堂。

本堂以免口说无凭特以挂号信（公元2010 年 5月15日）寄给张君开除文件并慎重声明其今后无权代表本堂接洽或处理任何事务及鸠收任何款项，其在外一切之言行举止概与本堂无关。

此通告将在公元2010 年 5 月 28日刊登在于主要报刊。

Mr Teo Piak Hee, holder of NRIC No: S1331409H is no longer a member of the Moh Hong Buddhist Shrine (Society). He has been expelled from the society for violation of the following:

1. Abuse of his position as musical director for personal financial gains through provision of unapproved services and charging fees for them.

2. Damage the society’s image by misrepresenting to members that these services and fees are society approved.

3. Undermining the spiritual advisor’s authority

Mr Teo Piak Hee no longer represents the society and has no power whatsoever to act on the society’s behalf from immediate effect.

A registered mail to his last known place of residence has been served to Mr Teo Piak Hee on May 15, 2010. This notice is also available on the society website alongside an ad taken out on all major newspapers on May 28, 2010.

Chanting His name we abandon our worries; our heart remains calm. This gives us peace of mind; rid our heart of jealousy, of anger – a calm and equitable mind with no selfish thoughts to cherish the present moment and receive the blessings from the Buddha and Our Master.

We’re hoping everyone will join us on Friday, May 28, from 8pm to 9.30pm to cherish this Vesak by focusing our mental energy with one heart through an incantation of the Sakyamuni mantra.

Final practice is this Saturday, May 22 at 8pm, at the site, and we’d love to see everyone there!

If you’re not in the group portrait taken in Pontian that hangs on the wall at the Bishan shrine, here’s your chance to fix that.

We had a great time on the last trip. The Pontain shrine got a good spring clean, the food was delicious, and yes… there was shopping, singing and laughter.

This year’s trip is open to all helpers and family and will be on Sunday 13th June.

Come along and check out the recent renovations at the shrine. The post-Vesak AGM will also be on this day, .

We’ll be gathering at around 7am to get on the chartered buses, with an early buffet lunch and then dinner in Kukup at around 4pm. We’ll probably be back in Singapore again at around 9pm.

It’ll be a lot of fun, so hope to see everyone there. Just let your section head know before Wednesday 26th May (during the Vesak Week).

Madam Wong, the loving wife of Lai Chee Keong who is a member of the security group and mother to Gillian and Wynne who are members of the prayer group, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2010. While her calm and quiet demeanor will be sadly missed by all her friends and family here in this Shrine, we know she is a step closer to her destination on this spiritual path. We bid her farewell.

Just a reminder that the delish range of CNY goodies will be available at the Shrine this Sunday… and I swear you can taste the love.

Don’t miss out!

There will be a range of nuts and delicious CNY goodies on sale at the shrine this Sunday, and on Sunday 31st January. All vegetarian of course, and all tried, tested and delicious.

As you know, we’re in the process of growing a building fund for a shrine in Singapore, so all proceeds will go towards a wonderful cause.

I’ve taken artistic license with the picture, because unfortunately I don’t think love letters are available, but my favourite broad beans are there, along with many others.
